Collectible figurines and memorabilia with a military flavor. The items in this collection are predominantly  Household Cavalry based due to the history of the company but other regiments are being researched and figures are already in production.

Imperial Bronze is dedicated to the production of military figurines and other collectible items aimed at the military market.

All of the items in our range are 100% handmade.

The creation of an Imperial Bronze figure requires over a hundred hours of work even for our smaller items. The process begins with researching the subject to ensure that the item will be as authentic as possible. The first stage is with the model maker who crafts a master pattern which is sculpted using various materials. When the master is considered to be as anatomically correct and advanced as far as is achievable in this phase, it is sent to the casters. This rough master is cast into aluminum and sent back to the model maker who will then add finer detail and tidy up any irregular areas which are left from the earlier sculpting. Depending upon the complexity of the subject it might require several aluminum masters to be cast and re modeled. When the working master is considered ready it returns to the casting workshop where the definitive "working" molds are made. All stages of production are carried out by hand. Imperial Bronze is a truly  handmade entirely accurate example of British artisans creativity.

Cold cast bronze method allows all of the beauty of this ancient and beautiful metal to be utilized to its full potential. Casting in this way allows the sculptor to add far more detail than can be achieved with the traditional furnace hot pour method. Cold Cast Bronze. High density bronze powder is suspended in resin which is cast using a chemical reaction to catalysts. These production methods allow for much finer detail and reduced production equipment costs resulting in a finished item retaining all of the aesthetic attributes of crucible cast bronze at a far lower cost. The surface is sealed and therefore the figurine is not susceptible to tarnishing associated with traditional bronze. We recommend cleaning with a cotton duster approximately once a month.

Some of the items have a contrasting black finish. This is achieved by using powered Welsh slate in the casting process in place of bronze. Smaller and more finely detailed pieces are cast in metal and added in the final assembly.
